An exhibition of 25 artworks which formed a trail through Handforth village centre has now closed, but there is still time to submit your entry into the competition.
The Friends of Handforth Station, who organised the Handforth Art Trail, have extended the closing date for entries until the end of Friday 23rd September, to allow for the national period of mourning following the sad death of HM Queen Elizabeth.
Oraganiser Mike Bishop said "Don't worry if you haven't answered all the questions; several people have also submitted incomplete entries! There are plenty of prizes including one of the pictures displayed through the village, a 180th anniversary train headboard and Northern Trains family tickets.
"There are also prizes from some of the venues that displayed the artwork, including Wood Fire and Smoke, the Hallmark Card Shop, Tesco, Istanblue, New Woks Cooking, Woods Papershop (lottery tickets !), and the Miniature Railway in the park. So, feel free to submit what you have, and you could win millions with a lottery ticket."
Paper entries can be handed in at Handforth Library (open weekdays except Wednesday). Or take a picture of your entry form and email it to [email protected].
Commissioned by the Crewe to Manchester Community Rail Partnership, the Station Connections artwork is a collection of pictures by local artist Eamonn Murphy which reflect the style of the UK's classic travel posters of the 1920s and 1930s.
