As exam season for 16 and 18 year olds comes to an end, a Wilmslow based charity has been helping teenagers whose families are worrying about the expense.
Bare Necessities, with donations from our supporters have put together 200 prom packs for their partner charities at youth centres and schools.
Essentials such as deodorant and shower gel were provided alongside hair and make-up products all packed into a handsewn re-usable bag to help the teens prepare for the big night.
A teacher at a local senior school emailed to express her gratitude for the packs saying "The Year 11s will be so thrilled with their amazing prom packs. They will help some of our more disadvantaged children feel part of what many of our teenagers take for granted. Thank you!"
Chair of Bare Necessities, Wendy Hobson said "Bare Necessities is incredibly grateful for all the support in donating products and raising much needed funds for our Wilmslow based charity.
"We hope to continue growing our friendly and supportive community and accept donations of toiletries and make-up in our donation boxes, we need all full-size, everyday toiletries, feminine hygiene products, dental and baby products as well as hotel and beauty miniatures."
The only proviso is that they must be unopened and unused.
