A by-election will take place next month to fill a vacancy on Wilmslow Town Council.
Ten voters have submitted a written request for an election to be held to find a new councillor to represent the Wilmslow Dean Row ward of the town.
The vacancy arose following the resignation of Joanne Milnes who stepped down on Monday 17th June for personal reasons.
The election will be held on Thursday 22nd August and polling hours will be from 7am to 10pm.
Anyone wishing to stand as a candidate needs to obtain a nominations pack from Cheshire East Council, by contacting CEC Electoral Services on 01270 685922 or emailing [email protected].
The deadline for the nominations paper to be completed and submitted to CEC is 12 noon on Friday 26th July.
