Final preparations are underway for this year's Party on The Carrs which is a free community event.
Following the huge success of last year's Jubilee Event, Wilmslow Town Council are organising a similar event on Sunday, 16th June, from 12 noon to 5pm.
The entertainment kicks off at 12 noon with stage performances from Alderley and Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company, Styal Brass, Move and Groove, professional soloists Alan Burton and Heather Dee. The final performance will be from headline act Slinky, a four piece band playing music from 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and more recent years.
Alderley District Scout Band will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary with marching band displays and guest bands will be performing in the parade ring at intervals throughout the afternoon.
Refreshments will be provided by local companies and many local organisations and charities will have stalls, including Lindow Scouts, Girlguiding Dean Row, Wilmslow Animal Sanctury, Wilmslow Guide Dogs for the Blind, RBL, Dean Row Allotment Society and Incredible Edible.
For the younger guests entertainment will ask include face painting, bouncy castles and hopefully a visit from a fire engine.
