200 compete in school's cross country challenge

The annual Wilmslow Primary Schools cross country competition was held at The Carrs on Wednesday, 22nd May.

The event, organised by James Hayward and his colleagues at Gorsey Bank School, was blessed with dry though windy conditions. Nearly 200 children took part in four races for Year 3 / 4 Boys and Girls and Year 5 / 6 Boys and Girls.

Ashdene won the Year 3 / 4 girls team event for large schools with Gorsey Bank winning the other three awards. Lindow Primary won the four team awards for small schools and had the individual winner in each race.

Well done to all the children who tried so hard for their school!
