Power to light up town garden

Wilmslow Town Council has agreed to install electricity in the open space behind Hoopers, adjacent to the former Vardo site, to enable future events to be held there.

The Council will fund the installation of a power feeder pillar to the park area so it can be used for events and possibly a Christmas tree - at a cost of £2145, excluding Vat.

Cllr Sue Menlove proposed this, saying "I'd like to see this site used for quite a few events, to put music on there and also a Christmas tree. it is site in the town that ought to be used more."

Can I say as a previous resident of Green Hall Mews... next door to this park area...It is a good idea for day time and early evening. But late music and late noise from what was Samuel Finney pub.. Now Revolution.Drove the residents mad, at weekends.I also helped to clean up this area ,for the Jubilee clean- up, and it was dreadful...bottles,glasses,condoms,litter generally, I hope the parish Council take this into account, especially any music and cost of cleaning the site afterwards.
