Wilmslow Town Council is planning to organise another community event in The Carrs this summer, similar to the one which took place in the park to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee last year.

The free event will be held on Sunday 16th June and councillors are hoping that more schools will get involved this year.

The Wilmslow Town Council will set up a working group and a budget of £10,000 has been approved to enable them to move forward with these plans.

Cllr Jo Milnes explained "It will be a picnic in the park with a selection of food stalls. We already have a compere arranged and we are hoping for a variety of acts to perform on stage as well as more stalls than we had last year."

Well done again Wilmslow Town Council. The town should be proud of all the work you guys do to promote Wilmslow. Every event you organise just gets bigger and better. Last years party in the park was such a success and talked about for weeks. I for one can't wait for this one!
