A woman from Wilmslow has died after her car was involved in a head-on collision in Little Sutton.
The 34-year old female was driving a silver Land Rover Freelander on the A550 Welsh Road, Little Sutton, when it collided head-on with a silver Lexus at 8.07pm last night, Friday 3rd February.
At the time of the accident the Land Rover was travelling in the direction of the A540 at Two Mills when it collided with the Lexus, driven by a 42-year old male from Buckley, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
Fire crews attended the road accident and administered CPR to the woman who suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision. She was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital for medical treatment, where she sadly later died from the injuries.
The driver of the Lexus was also taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
Police are investigating the collision and appealing for witnesses to contact Sgt Gallagher or Sgt Harrison at Cheshire Police on 101.
