New face on the Handforth beat

Policing in Handforth has a new face as Rebecca Woolley, who spent the past 12 months as the PCSO in Alderley Edge, has been appointed as a Police Community Support Officer for Handforth.

Inspector Matt Welsted, in charge of Wilmslow Neighbourhood Policing Unit said, "I am sure Rebecca will soon get to know everybody and become a familiar sight as she patrols Handforth.

"Rebecca has moved to fill a vacancy alongside PCSO Gareth Harding who is well established there and the new team will continue to provide a strong policing presence.

"Suzanne Williams and Emma Littlewood will remain in place as the Colshaw PCSOs , keeping their close links with local people and building on the strong policing base which has been established there.

"These adjustments reflect the progress in neighbourhood policing which we have made in the Wilmslow area over the past few years and the improved quality of life this has brought for many people.

"PCSOs, working alongside Police Officers and inside the local communities play a key role in this."
