Cheshire East Council have put together a new programme of events for the summer holidays, with a variety of activities suitable for all ages and abilities. All sessions are free and will be held in children's centres, parks and multi-use games areas - so if you're looking for something to occupy the children and keep them active during the holidays then pop along and join in.

During the week commencing Monday 9th August, Active Play sessions will be held every day across Wilmslow and action packed sessions of sport, play and leisure activities designed for all the family will be held every Monday at Oakenclough Children's Centre and every Thursday at Wilmslow Leisure Centre.

Then the following week "It's a Wipe-out" will be held at The Carrs on Friday 13th August. Between 1pm and 4pm a selection of activities will be available, including inflatables, slip and slides, dance mats, skate and BMX jams, play activities, bowls, face painting and a climbing wall. There will also be the opportunity to meet with members of the local fire brigade and police.

A Street Sports Programme has also been put together which gives young people the chance to have a go at various sports and activities in their own community. Sessions will be held every Monday, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, at the multi-use games area on Picton Drive, Coleshaw.
