The Methodist Church in Wilmslow is organising a Family Fun Day this Saturday, 24th July, at Little Lindow where everything is free, apart from what you buy to eat and drink.
Attractions on the day will include; bouncy castles, barbecue, cake stall, craft activities, face painting, fire engines, afternoon tea, games and activities.
Judith Parr, Children & Family Worker at Wilmslow Methodist Church, said "We have lots of families who use our buildings and who are linked to the church, through groups that we run and the preschool here, and the Fun Day grew out of a desire to give families in our community an opportunity to spend time together and have fun together. We want to be able to give them something good.
"It's also about showing the community that our church is active and being a visible presence. It's great to be able to engage with families without a hidden agenda - we just believe that families are a strong part of our community.
"This year will be the third year we have run the Family Fun Day and we normally have a lovely sunny day, so hopefully we will again this year, and families are always pleasantly suprised that everything is free" added Judith.
The Family Fun Day will be held from 1pm to 4pm at Little Lindow, which is next to the Fire Station on Altrincham Road.
