Whilst the nation were busy voting and absorbed by election fever, forms 2-6 at Pownall Hall School took part in their own election yesterday, with the top two results mirroring those of the Tatton Constituency.
Mrs Keegan said “Congratulations to all the candidates and their supporters for a well-run and exciting campaign. The candidates spoke to the school on Wednesday in Assembly and put their policies forward with enthusiasm and with an excellent understanding of the issues.
“We are very proud of all those who took part and look forward with interest to see which one gets to Downing Street first!”
The results of the Pownall Hall election were as follows:
Candidate | Votes |
---|---|
Orran Robinson, Conservative Party | 31 |
Emily Herbert, Liberal Democratic Party | 22 |
George Smith, Green Party | 17 |
Jack Ronnie, Labour Party | 7 |
