As the nation prepares to vote tomorrow, forms 2-6 at Pownall Hall School will be taking part in their own election. Form 6 are supplying the candidates, agents and Party members, with each Party having been busy making posters, distributing leaflets, canvassing supporters and preparing their speeches.
The candidates spoke to the school in Assembly this morning and, as with the General Election, the voting will take place tomorrow, Thursday, 6th May, with the polling station located in the library.
Form 4 will supply the officials running the election and Headmaster Mr Hall will be the Returning Officer. The votes will be counted by impartial teachers and the results will be announced in Assembly on Friday when they will find out if Pownall’s results mirror the nation’s.
