The winner of the 26th ASICS Wilmslow Half Marathon, which took place this morning, was Andi Jones from Salford Harriers who completed the 13.1 mile course in a time of 64 minutes 45 seconds.
Gareth Raven from Sale Harriers was second over the line with a time of 65 minutes 37 seconds, he was closely followed in third by Matthew Pierson from Holmfirth Harriers.
First over the line for Wilmslow Running Club was Michael Halman in 25th position, with a time of 70 minutes 31 seconds.
Michelle Ross-Cope from the City of Stoke Athletic Club won the women’s race for the fourth consecutive year, in a record breaking time of 72 minutes 2 seconds, knocking 33 seconds off the course record which she set last year.
Second place went to Rebecca Robinson from Kendal Athletic Club with a time of 73 minutes 17 seconds and Alyson Dixon came third completing the race in 74 minutes 4 seconds.
