Fun dog proves most popular ever

Friends of Carrs annual fun dog show, Canine Capers on the Carrs, returned for the ninth year on Sunday 19th May and proved the most popular ever.

The event was so well attended organisers said they almost couldn't cope - and they sold out of cake way before the end of the day.

Around 170 dogs were entered into the nine categories and the agility course – which was far more than in previous years.

John Booth from Friends of The Carrs said "Without a doubt this was our most successful and enjoyable dog show to date. It had a real community atmosphere and it was very rewarding to see everyone having such a good time. We can't wait until next year!."

Whilst the primary aim of the day is to have fun and get local dog owners together, Friends of the Carrs also raised around £350 – all of which will be used over the coming months to make The Carrs more beautiful.
