Rossmere is on Lindow Moss between Newgate and Saltersley Hall.

Hi Martin,
Rossmere is at the end of Newgate, off Racecourse Road. You have to know it is there as you don’t really pass it on the way to anywhere!

I always thought this lake was called Albert Lake. (It’s where the fishing club is, as far as you can go down Newgate, passing the old tip, the kennels and the houses at the end.)
There are sometimes cows roaming free at the other end, in the field, and they once all chased my dog - we ran like mad, away from them, but they just kept running after us! It looked hilarious to a group of walkers

Hi Wendy- nice image. There used to be pigs as well.
The fishing rights on the lake are owned but the Prince Albert angling association so I assume they is where the confusion comes from.
