As part of the Dementia Awareness Week (which runs from 14th to 20th May) Wilmslow Library is hosting a Dementia Awareness Session on Thursday May 18th between 10am and 12 noon.

Members of Wilmslow's In Together Cafe will be attending to provide information about the weekly café which was set up in January to support those suffering from dementia and those who support them. There will also be displays of equipment, including books and memory boxes, and refreshments will be served.

Librarian Emily Morrey said "The library will be displaying a selection of their stock which can be borrowed by groups or individuals for their own reminiscence sessions, these include memory boxes and books aimed at families and friends of those living with dementia.

"All are welcome to this drop-in, whether you're personally affected by dementia or just want to know more about the condition."
