Emergency closure of Moor Lane

Moor Lane will be closed for over a week to enable United Utilities to carry out emergency sewer repairs.

The road will be shut from the junction with Eden Close to the junction with Granville Road from Saturday, 3rd December.

It is anticipated that the works will take place from tomorrow until Monday 12th December.

The alternative route will be via Moor Lane, Chapel Lane, South Oak Lane, Gravel Lane, Newlands Drive

Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained where possible.

I remember the area being closed off around Gravel Lane for months around 1950. Same reason.

The 88 bus has been a joy to use since it's been whizzing along Knutsford Road into and out of Wilmslow centre, instead of trying to force its way through the parking-induced traffic chaos of Chapel lane (and to some extent, Moor Lane).
