A man was arrested at Handforth station having been detained by a train driver.
British Transport Police were called to Handforth station shortly before 9.30pm on Tuesday, 15th November, following reports that the man had been spray painting a train.
They attended, along with colleagues from Cheshire Police, who arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of criminal damage and assault.
He was taken into custody and British Transport Police are continuing their enquiries.
