Volunteers have been working tirelessly to ensure that the 104th Wilmslow Show is the best yet. Taking place at Wilmslow High School on Sunday, 10th July, Wilmslow's biggest community event promises to have something for everyone to enjoy.

With everything from live music and floral displays to craft stalls and arena events, this year will see, amongst others, magician Nick Barnes, clown shows, inflatable bumper cars and the cowboy village.

Andrew Van Buren will be performing some of his illusions and there will be plenty of action in the arena with acts including the Falconry School, The Chesterfield Musketeers Showband and firm favourite Jema Leopold with her equestrian display.

This year, Wilmslow Show is also proud to present the first ever Doggy Olympics.

Paul Chilton explained "Every year we have a fun dog show, but this year I wanted to do something different. I'm not going to give away all the surprises, but I'd like to invite as many people as possible to come along with their dogs to take part in something pretty special. If you think you and your dog have what it takes to go for gold then head down to the Dog Arena at 2.30pm."

One of the main sponsors of the show will also be on hand with their free health check tent. Phil Church, General Manager of HCA The Wilmslow Hospital at 52 Alderley Road, commented: "We are delighted to extend our sponsorship of The Wilmslow Show to a second year.

"As the local private hospital, we wanted to continue our commitment to the people of Wilmslow and the local business community. Last year's show was a great success and we hope that as many people come along on 10th July to celebrate our town and its heritage."

Additionally, Wilmslow High School's Learning Support Café will be serving home-made cakes, teas and coffees to thirsty visitors to the show. Laura Jones is helping to organise the café and said, "Learning Support will be running a pop-up cafe at the Wilmslow Show on Sunday 10th July.

"We will be providing tea and cakes with the students waiting on the tables. The aim of the cafe is to provide our students with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their potential employability skills. Please do come and visit us. We'll be situated between the marquees."

Frank McCarthy, Chairman of the Wilmslow Show committee said, "We're so pleased that the Learning Support students have come up with this great idea and we hope that as many visitors as possible will go and visit them on the day. Wilmslow High School has graciously allowed Wilmslow Show to take place on their field for a number of years now and we are very grateful to them for their support. We think that the café has all the makings of a regular fixture!"

Plenty of classic and vintage cars will be at the show and local dealership, Royles, will be bringing along their latest arrival, the Zenos E10R - a British-built specialist track and road car combining lightweight performance with track day agility. Along with 68 cars of all makes and models from private owners, you can get up close to the cars and find out more from those that know them best.

Frank McCarthy said, "We've arranged a great show this year, with plenty of old favourites as well as lots of new events for Wilmslow residents and visitors to enjoy. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the host of entertainment that we have lined up for you on 10th July. We look forward to seeing you there."

The 2016 Wilmslow Show will take place from 11am to 5pm at Wilmslow High School. Tickets are available on the gate, or you can buy tickets in advance. Family tickets for 2 adults and up to 3 children under 16 years are available at the reduced rate of £10 (£12 on the gate).
