Moderate walks trace the route of the River Bollin

A series of walks have been organised exploring the River Bollin to the East of Wilmslow.

Walk 3 of a series of 8 walks tracing the route of the River Bollin around Prestbury and Mottram will take place on Sunday, 15th May.

Bollin Valley Partnership Ranger Roger Brereton will lead a moderate 11.2km (7 mile) circular walk setting off from Macclesfield Riverside Park on Beech Lane at 11am and proceeding into Prestbury and beyond, returning at 2.30pm.

This will be followed by Walk 4 which will trace the route of the River Bollin around Wilmslow and Mottram on Sunday, 22nd May.

Bollin Valley Partnership Ranger Jim Middlemass will lead the moderate 13km (8 mile) circular walk setting off from Wilmslow Parish Hall Car Park at 11am and returning at 2.30pm.

Booking and payment in advance is essential for both walks. Tickets costing £4 for adults, children 16 or under go free, are bookable online.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Walkers are advised to wear suitable boots and clothing and bring a packed lunch.
