An evening of comedy theatre

WeAreBronte (1)

Wilmslow Library is holding an evening of comedy theatre next month as part of their 'See it Live in Libraries' project.

In partnership with Cheshire Rural Touring Arts, they will be hosting 'We are Bronte' on Thursday 17th March, to coincide with the 200th anniversary of Charlotte Bronte's birth this year.

Emily Morrey, Librarian at Wilmslow Library, said "We Are Brontë is a piece of comic visual theatre inspired by the real and imaginary worlds of Yorkshire's literary siblings, presented in Publick Transport's irreverent style. Physical theatre collides with stand-up, clowning and improvisation as two performers deconstruct not only gothic themes of love, madness, repression and revenge, but also themselves. Part play, part enquiry into the act of putting on a play, this promises to be no ordinary Brontë adaptation."

Tickets, priced £10 for adults, £7.50 for adult members (a current library card will be required) and £5 for under 18s are available from Wilmslow Library or bookable online.

Age recommendation is 12+.
