
Eight-year old Harry Mascall from Wilmslow was recently awarded the Points of Light Award by the Prime Minister David Cameron, which recognises outstanding individual volunteers and people who are making a change in their community.
Harry was given the award for his fundraising efforts on behalf of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
Harry, one of the RNLI's youngest and most committed supporters, is on a mission to visit all 237 lifeboat stations around the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, to raise funds and awareness for the RNLI.
He started his mission on his 7th birthday and so far he has managed to visit 93 lifeboat stations and has just completed visits to all the stations in Wales, a significant milestone in his mission.
Harry was presented with his Points of Light Award at Rhyl RNLI Station, where he is an Honorary Crew member.
Martin Jones, Coxswain of the lifeboat crew at Rhyl said "We are all extremely proud of what Harry is doing for the RNLI volunteer crews, especially at Rhyl."
