Cheshire East Council has given notice that, under the terms of the 1972 Local Government Act, a vacancy exists for the post of councillor for Wilmslow Lacey Green ward.
The vacancy follows the sudden death of the sitting borough councillor, Chris Hilliard, earlier this month.
An election to fill the vacancy will be held if notice is given to the council, by two local electors for the area, requesting an election be held.
