
An electric hob was accidentally turned on by dog Mila, causing a kitchen fire as items were on top of the hob.
Firefighters from Wilmslow and Greater Manchester were called to the property on Cardenbrook Grove just after 2pm on Friday, 13th November.
On arrival they gained access to the property and found a fire in the kitchen which they put out using a hose reel. A high pressure fan when then used to clear smoke from the house. Two dogs were rescued by firefighters.
The firefighters rescued Mila along with labradoodle Marley.
Earlier in the day, firefighters were called to a premises on Hawthorn Lane where a light fitting was smoking.
A thermal imaging camera was used and the building was evacuated while the incident was dealt with.
