A new project is launching in Wilmslow and Handforth with the aim of reaching out to members of the public and supporting people to access social support, IT support and improve their overall well being.

Life Links is a new free service commissioned by Cheshire East Council and delivered by Peaks & Plains Housing Trust and Age UK Cheshire East.

Weekly outreach sessions at Handforth and Wilmslow libraries to help people of all ages make the most out of their lives and community.

Natalie Savage, Life Links Wellbeing Co-ordinator, said "Whether you, or someone you know, needs some support and advice on how to stay healthy, stay independent, reach out to others or to live well, Life Links is here to help.

"The service is open to anyone over the age of 18 and can provide information on local services and activities, provide help with IT and technology and offer support with low level health conditions to help people improve their general wellbeing."

The outreach sessions start at Handforth Library on Friday, 23rd October, between 10 and 12pm and will be running on a weekly basis.

Wilmslow Library's outreach sessions start on Tuesday, 3rd November, and will run between 10 and 12pm, again on a weekly basis.

One of the Life Links team will be there to give advice and support and will be an opportunity for people to find out more about the service.

Natalie added "If you or someone you know needs more support, why not get in touch with Life Links to see if we can help."
