Former headteacher cleared of indecently assaulting children

A former headteacher at St Benedict′s Catholic Primary School in Handforth has been cleared of indecently assaulting children.

Paul Colquhoun, 71, from Sale has been been found not guilty of all 23 charges of indecent assault which were said to have occurred between 1977 and 1992.

The trial began at Chester Crown Court on 23rd March and the jury returned their verdict on Wednesday, 8th April.
