The newest member of Wilmslow Town Council is launching regular drop-in sessions to give residents of Wilmslow East the opportunity to raise any concerns with him.
David Jefferay, who was elected to join Wilmslow Town Council in November 2014 as the the Residents of Wilmslow (RoW) candidate, will be holding sessions at the Kings Arms pub between 6.30pm and 7.30pm on the third Sunday of each month.
David explained "During the election campaign I realised that many of the residents do not know who their town councillor is and what they do so I promised that, if I was elected, I would arrange regular drop-in sessions to make sure I was accessible. If it proves to be popular, I am more than happy to increase the number of sessions each month."
The first drop-in sessions will take place on Sundays 18th January, 15th February, 15th March and 19th April.

Here's what readers have had to say so far. Why not add your thoughts below.
It is a important element of our democratic process that elected representatives are available for electors to air their concerns and know where to do so.
David is following in the footsteps of WTCs only other Residents of Wilmslow town councillor, Cllr Phil Enstone of Dean Row, who holds regular surgeries for his constituents.
The value of independent councillors who do not take their electors for granted, until the next election.
Just wish CEC Cllrs did the same - so many issues that WTC cannot deal with. CEC have our money and have little or no interest in sustaining Wilmslow, unlike our WTC independent Cllrs.
A public debate pre May 2015 elections? Now that would be interesting!
