The Friends of Lacey Green Park held a drop in session at Lacey Green Primary Academy on Monday 16th June to seek feedback from local residents about improvements to the park.
The team welcomed the support of Councillor Don Stockton who attended along with local residents who are keen to be part of the park's improvement process.
The Friends of Lacey Green Park would like to say a heartfelt thank you to those residents that shared their ideas and positive response to the project.
Stuart Ogden, Chair of the Group said "The consultation period has now concluded and next steps are to focus on the priority areas such as improving the play area's equipment and facilities. The team are also working on a 'Signage, Seating and Bins Report' to improve these vital items in the most effective way."
Stuart added ""To prove the project is worthy of funding from other organisations we're approaching, we need everyone to email us with their ideas and hopes for the park which add considerable weight to our grant applications. Please email us at [email protected] as soon as possible."
The Friends of Lacey Green Park consists of a handful of Lacey Green residents who care about the park and are working with Cheshire East to improve the facilities for the community to enjoy for years to come.
Wilmslow Town Council awarded a grant of £1040 to the recently formed group in April so they could purchase litter picking equipment, graffiti cleaner, insurance, register a domain name and have flyers and posters printed.
