Appeal to help bring brother home

A Wilmslow hairdresser is appealing for help to bring her brother home from Thailand.

Angie Bean's brother Chris Moulds had an horrific motorbike accident in Thailand at the end of March and has been in a coma since.

Chris, 39, moved to Thailand last year with his wife Alice and their two children Nicholas age 5 and Isobel age 17 months. Unfortunately he didn't have any insurance and the hospital costs are £1000 a day so the family are desperately fundraising to bring Chris back to England, which will cost a minimum of £30,000.

Angie of Sandhurst Drive explained "He has had to have an operation on his brain to release pressure and he has had a tracheotomy. He has been very well cared for and is now in a stable condition. But the awful truth is that our finances have been drained, we need to get Chris back to England as soon as possible.

"My mum spent 3 weeks by his side with his wife and children, and when she returned to England realised we needed to try get the funds together as quickly as possible. We started a Facebook page."

The response from family and friends has been incredible, enabling the family to raise £16,500 in just two weeks.

Angie said "Lots of people are doing events to help raise funds. I work at Angeliques hair and beauty on Knutsford Road we are holding a charity raffle on June 6th. Tickets are being sold from the salon and we are asking local companies if they would kindly donate raffle prizes and lots all ready have."

She added "My mum has now returned to Thailand to be with my brother and his wife and children, hoping every day he will wake up. But we dare to dream and where there is breath there is hope."

Anyone wishing to donate to help bring Chris home from Thailand can do so via their funds4us page. Alternatively Angie can be contacted via email.
