There is a vacancy for a councillor to represent the Lacey Green Ward on Wilmslow Town Council, due to the death of Councillor Chris Hilliard.
An election to fill the vacancy will be held if ten electors for the said Electoral area give notice to the Returning Officer requesting such an election within 14 days (excluding Saturdays Sundays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Good Friday or a Bank Holiday) of the date of the Town Council's notice.
The notice was dated Wednesday 16th July.

If no such notice is given the Town Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.
