Wilmslow Town Council is delighted to announce five Playground Fun Days this August, offering accompanied young children a free local day of entertainment during the summer holidays.
Running on selected weekdays between Tuesday 5th August and Tuesday 19th August, the Fun Days will take place in parks across Wilmslow, giving children and their families a chance to enjoy outdoor activities close to home.
Each event will feature a variety of games and activities, along with play sessions hosted by Macclesfield Community Sports Trust, all designed to complement the parks' play equipment.
Playground Fun Day schedule (11am – 3pm):
- Tues 5th August – The Pleasure (Gravel Lane / South Oak Lane)
- Thurs 7th August – Lacey Green Park
- Tues 12th August – Howty Close Play Area
- Thurs 14th August – Little Lindow (Altrincham Road)
- Tues 19th August – Brown's Lane Park
Children and their parent or guardian are invited to their local park and encouraged to bring a picnic to make the most of the day.
Wilmslow Town Mayor, Councillor Sally Harrison, said, "We're excited to announce these five Playground Fun Days.
We know how expensive the summer holidays can be, so we're proud to give local neighbourhood communities a chance to get together and enjoy some free games and activities in one of Wilmslow's open spaces.
"Grab your picnic and picnic mat – and just turn up to enjoy the day!"
