A Greek restaurant has been given permission to expand their business into the neighbouring property.

Hellas Greek Restaurant has been granted a change of use from retail to restaurant for the ground floor of a vacant property on Wilmslow Road, Handforth.

The expansion will create additional seating for the restaurant, ground floor toilet facilities and improved parking facilities at the rear of the properties.

The ground floor of 111 Wilmslow Road, which was previously occupied by Souvenir Seed Store, has been boarded up and vacant for about 18 months. Permission has been granted for A3 use but the premises must not to be used as a hot food takeaway.

The hours of operation shall be limited to 8am to 11pm hours on Monday to Saturday and 9am to 10pm on Sundays or public holidays.

The planning application can be viewed on Cheshire East Council's website by searching for planning reference 13/3413M.

Great news. Everyone should get behind this new local business and write in support of the planning application.
