Luxury tour operator nominated for 10 awards

2013 is proving to be a positive year for Destinology, the luxury tour operator which unveiled their retail concept store in Wilmslow in May.

Last year Destinology were recognised nationally by receiving three prestigious British Travel Awards that were presented at a glittering ceremony in November 2012.

More recently, they have been nominated for 'Rising Brand of the Year' at the Travolution Awards 2013 and shortlisted for eight British Travel Awards.

The luxury tour operator has been nominated for the following categories: Best Luxury Holiday Company; Best Weddings & Honeymoons Holiday Company; Best Holiday Company for Customer Service; Best Small High Street Travel Agency; Best Holiday Company for Southeast Asia; Best Holiday Company for the Indian Ocean; Best Holiday Company for the Middle East and Best Holiday Company for Hellenic Europe.

The nomination for the Best Small High Street Travel Agency is particularly noteworthy as this recognises the innovation of the Destinology travel concept store based on Alderley Road. This is the first retail venture for Destinology and combines technological innovation with luxurious premises - which aims to put the excitement back into travel planning and raise the bar for the generic retail travel model.

The annual British Travel Awards is the largest consumer voted awards programme in the UK, and is designed to recognise and reward the very best companies in the travel market across a wide range of categories. Voting opened on 1st July, with consumers invited to cast their vote online, before the winners are revealed in a glittering ceremony on 31st October at Battersea Park, London.

Furthermore, the level of innovation that has been channelled into the flagship Wilmslow concept store has secured a finalist spot for the 'Leading Edge' award at the forthcoming TTG Awards 2013. Taking the total tally to 10 nominations so far for 2013.
