Lindow 1st XI welcomed Lymm to Upcast Lane on a warm, muggy afternoon. The visitors won the toss and elected to bat.

After some tight bowling applied by Walker and Howarth the visitors found themselves struggling to score runs on 22 for 1 off 10. The Lymm batsmen built their innings and managed to move the score up to 200 for the 2nd wicket until Walker came back into the attack, picking up two quick wickets. Lymm finished on 219 for 3 which appeared to be a competitive score.

The home side started well with Matt Ramsden scoring a solid 40, before getting run out. The middle order of Mitchell, Hayes and Bracewell all fell cheaply putting pressure on the home side as victory looked a long way off.

Ian Park (35) and Scott Howarth (65) took an aggressive approach and managed to push the score back in Lindow's favour before both fell. Fortunately only 20 runs were required, with Parr and Dan Braddock taking the home side to victory and another maximum 25 points. This win see's Lindow now 39 points ahead of third with 6 games remaining.

The 2nds travelled to local rivals Mobberley, still unbeaten this season. The home side won the toss and elected to field. Brothers James Venables (34) and Rob Venables (58) opened the batting and got Lindow off to a superb start.

Their aggressive batting approach took the home side by surprise and gave a great foundation to be built upon. Both wickets fell in short succession, bringing the middle order into action. Hume (15), Day (35) and Kendrick (45) pushed the score on significantly, with Lindow finishing the innings on 233 for 9 off the 45 overs.

Mobberley lost 2 early wickets to Ahmed (10 over's, 2 for 19) and Mahmood (12 over's 1 for 50), the Lindow opening bowlers putting some real pressure on. The middle order rallied and at drinks the total was 61 for 3 of 15, putting Mobberley in a competitive position.

Day (11 over's 4 for 32) was introduced to the attack and had immediate impact, bowling an accurate spell of bowling, supported at the other end by Kendrick (4 over's 2 for 11) and Mahmood. Lindow were unable to pick up the 10th wicket to secure victory, with Mobberley finishing the innings on 163 for 9.

This draw see's Lindow 2nds now 38 points clear of 2nd place and still unbeaten in 2013.
