Fire crews and police were called to a report of a person trapped by a metal spike in the river near Wilmslow Rugby Club.
Two fire engines attended the scene off Kings Road at 6.28pm on Sunday, 14th July, where they found a woman with her foot impaled on a corrugated metal spike in a stream.
Crews used specialist cutting gear to release her and then handed her over to the ambulance service.
