Tomorrow Wilmslow residents will get the chance to have their say on how Cheshire Police Authority and Chief Constable can meet the challenges of making £33 to £35 million savings over the next four years.
The 'Brief the Chief' roadshow, will be at Sainsbury's Wilmslow on Friday, 21st January, between 11am and 3pm, in the exhibition vehicle pictured.
The 'Brief the Chief' roadshow is visiting various venues across the county to allow the public to express their views on the budget cuts and to consider some of the suggestions that have been made for saving money.
Margaret Ollerenshaw, Chairman of the Police Authority, said "We know that the people of Cheshire are keen to be involved in informing the way policing services are delivered. We listen to the views of residents and businesses about where they think the police should focus their time and effort. We now need to know where they believe we can make changes whilst maintaining the service they want."
Chief Constable Dave Whatton added "Listening to what our communities want and seeking their views on how we can change whilst maintaining front line services is important to us. The mobile roadshow is an excellent way of getting the public involved and will help us to make the right operational decisions within a much reduced budget."
At the roadshow members of the public can contribute to the 'Brief The Chief' feedback, talk to a local officer who will be on hand to discuss community issues and find out how they can play a part in community safety.
