Ian Lloyd, of The Flower Shop and the UK School of Floristry on Water Lane, made an enormous floral heart last week for a Wilmslow resident.
The customer placed his very specific order for 700 roses last week and the heart was made using Passion roses which came from Holland. It took Ian 6 hours to put together.
Ian said "This is definitely the first time I have made something of this size. It was so big that it just fitted through the shop door and in to the van. It was also very heavy and took two of us to lift it."
Ian Lloyd launched the UK School of Floristry in 2005 and has been voted one of the country's top 10 florists by The Independent newspaper. He has demonstrated in 16 countries, judged many prestigious competitions including the RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year and he appeared on Britain's Got Talent in 2009 with opera singer Helena Leonard, as one half of Floral Highnotes.
