Local sportsman completes 5 marathon challenge for NHS charities

A Wilmslow rugby player has completed an impressive money raising feat in support of the NHS Charities Together.

Wolves centre Mark Jennings set himself the target of completing 4 marathons in 4 days in 4 different disciplines, then topped it off with a gruelling marathon combining all 4 exercises on day 5.

Mark said "I set a goal to raise £1000 for the NHS Charities Together organisation and I've been delighted with the support I've received.

"It was a tough test, but I decided to give it my best shot at 6am each morning and I'm relieved it's over!."

He achieved some pretty impressive times in the process, each over the 26.2m distance;

Day 1: Indoor Row 3hrs 22mins
Day 2: Cross Trainer 3hrs 33mins
Day 3: Bike 1hr 48mins
Day 4: Treadmill 3hrs 32mins
Day 5: 10km in each discipline

Mark has smashed his money raising target, but we would welcome further donations which can be made via his Just Giving page.
