Town Council cancels meetings due to coronavirus

Wilmslow Town Council have announced that they have cancelled all their formal meetings until further notice.

Town Clerk Matthew Jackson said "In line with Government advice to minimise social contact the Town Council agreed to delegated powers additional powers to the Proper Officer for the period of the outbreak. This will mean that formal meetings that are required by legislation to be held in public can be suspended whilst allowing for most of the functions of the Council to continue.

"The Town Council will continue to make recommendations on Planning Applications in the Parish and members of the public who would previously have attended a Planning Committee Meeting are welcome to email their comments to the Town Clerk using the ' Contact Us' page. The public are reminded however that any comments on planning applications should also be made directly the Cheshire East Council as they are the Planning Authority for Wilmslow.

"Any other questions of the Town Council should be made in the usual way preferably via email but also by phone."
