The eyes are the window to the soul and most people would class eyesight as their most precious sense. It is important to protect your eyesight especially from factors such as cataracts and Macula Degeneration.
Albert Road Opticians is providing the perfect opportunity to educate residents about how to protect the eyes from the effects of ageing. They are hosting an expert in the field Mr Michael Lavin for a talk about 'The effects of ageing on the eyes and how to protect them'.
Mr Michael Lavin is a consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, having been appointed in 1990. His special interests include the management of complex cataract surgery problems, glaucoma surgery, vitrectomy surgery, and new intravitreal treatments for retinal disease.
The talk will be held on Monday 6th June at The Yard Café in Alderley Edge. The event will begin at 6:15pm and will last approximately an hour, followed by a Q&A session. The Yard Café will also be providing canapés themed 'food for healthy eyes'.
