Boutique charity shop prepares to open on Water Lane

The Salvation Army has announced that Wilmslow will be the home of its third boutique charity shop in the UK, which will be located on Water Lane.

The new boutique style shop opens on Tuesday, 15th March, in the premises previously occupied by the East women's clothes shop which closed in June.

Visitors will be able to choose from a wide range of vintage items, designer names, as well as high end fashion pieces, that have been hand-picked from the public¹s generous donations.

Nick Morton, Head of Retail Development at Salvation Army Trading Company commented: "We are delighted to be expanding the number of our boutiques in the UK and even more so to be opening in the beautiful town of Wilmslow. Shoppers here have a real eye for fashion and the standard of shopping in the area is very high. Ww¹re privileged to be in a fantastic and central location, and I think the quality of our stock will go down really well.

"The wonderful thing with our boutiques is that you never know what you¹re going to find I remember one especially happy Northumberland customer stumbling across a Jimmy Choo handbag! We¹re looking forward to seeing lots of happy customers at the opening ceremony on the 15th March!"

Nick continued: "The shop's team has been busy making everything look fabulous for the opening day, and I think Wilmslow shoppers will really appreciate the stylish interior, high quality stock, customer service, and the whole shopping experience for many years to come."

Profit from the sale of donated clothing contributes to the valuable social welfare work of The Salvation Army, including homelessness and addiction services, care for older people, help at emergency incidents, support for adult victims of human trafficking in England and Wales, a Family Tracing Service and much, much more. Over the last five years the Salvation Army Trading Company has donated over £35 million to the charity.
