Woman rescued from fire on Manchester Road

Firefighters rescued a woman from a fire at a property on Manchester Road on Friday, 4th March.

One fire engine from Wilmslow and two from Greater Manchester were called to the incident just after midnight. Upon arrival they discovered the fire was in an electrical fuse box in the utility room.

Two firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used a main jet to bring the fire under control and the female casualty was handed into the care of paramedics.

Firefighters were at the scene for just under two hours.
