Wilmslow High to perform 'High School Musical’

Audiences will be treated to an evening's entertainment of song, dance and drama when students at Wilmslow High School present the musical 'High School Musical'.

Based on the hit Disney Channel movie, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, the cast of over 150 students from Years 8 to 13 will perform the classic 'boy meets girl' storyline.

The story follows the lives of two American high school students, Troy and Gabriella, as they try to re-kindle the holiday romance they had. Featuring the basketball team, the science society and the school musical auditionees, this musical contains plenty for people to enjoy.

Will Troy Bolton manage to make it to the auditions for the school musical as well as captaining the school basketball team to success? Will Troy and Gabriella be reconciled in time for the auditions? Will school radio announcer Jack Scott woo audiences with his velvet voice? And will basketballer Zeke ever manage to bake the perfect cookies for Sharpay?

Performances will take place on February 9th, 10th and 11th in the school hall, starting at 7pm.

Tickets are now on sale in the school reception at break and lunchtime, priced £7 for adults and £5 for concessions.
