Children get creative modelling Wilmslow

Children from Ashdene Primary School have produced some fantastic models as part of a home project on Wilmslow.

Class 4C, as part of their new topic on localities, were asked to look at any area of Wilmslow they wished and to express what they discovered in any way they wanted, for example as a model, piece of artwork, fact file etc. It was left entirely up to the individual do decide what to create.

Phil Carpenter, Class 4C Teacher, said "One of our curriculum drivers is creativity and as such we endeavour to give children opportunities to express themselves creatively. All children have been involved in working with local artists, Andy Leigh and Susan Agrawal over the last year to further enhance their passion for learning.

"Furthermore, having introduced Twitter into every classroom last year, the children now strive to have their work celebrated online. This has had a positive impact on attainment and presentation."
