IT sessions for beginners

library

IT Beginners' sessions are available at Wilmslow Library on a weekly basis.

The sessions are held on Monday mornings and Tuesday afternoons and cost £4 for two one hour sessions over two consecutive weeks.

People can choose to learn in a pair or have individual tuition using the library PCs.

Librarian Marg Charlesworth said "They are great for people starting to use computers who may be nervous about going to a bigger class.

"Being able to use a PC would enable customers to access the free online services available in and through Cheshire Libraries. For example, Which? Online, Ancestry, Find my Past and Naxos music library. People can also use their own computers to download the e-audiobooks and e-books available for free on the Cheshire East Libraries website."

For further information or to book a place call Wilmslow Library on 01625 374060.

This looks like an excellent initiative with more and more daily tasks becoming internet based, from banking to renewal of car tax.
