Between 9pm and 9.10pm on Sunday, 16th March, a man entered the Village Store in Knutsford Road, armed with a knife.
He threatened one of the shop assistants and demanded money from the till before stealing a quantity of cash. He then demanded cash from the safe, which was opened, and he stole a further quantity of cash. He then fled the scene on foot.
Owner Graham Hurd, who was not in the shop at the time, told wilmslow.co.uk "Two girls aged 25 and 18 were running the shop when a guy came in and threatened them with a knife.
"They were forced to hand over money from the till and open the safe. In the order of £2000 was taken."
