A lady was treated for smoke inhalation following an early morning fire in a neighbouring launderette.
Two fire crews, one from Wilmslow and one from Cheadle, were called to the incident on Wilmslow Road at 5.16am this morning.
On arrival they found a fire on the ground floor of the premises covering approximately 5 metres by 10 metres.
Two fire crews, including four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
A large fan was used to clear smoke from flat above the launderette and one lady from a neighbouring property was treated by the ambulance crew for smoke inhalation.
The fire was caused by a build up of heat in a large pile of washing which then combusted.
