A Wilmslow based charity is organising a sponsored walk across Morecombe Bay.

The guided walk organised by Kibera in Need (KIN) will be led by the Queen's Official Guide to the Sands Mr Cedric Robinson. It will be 7 to 8 miles long, depending on the route, and will take approximately 4 hours.

Walkers will start from the stony foreshore at Arnside Village at 10.15am on Saturday 8th September. The coach will leave from Wilmslow Leisure Centre Car Park at 7.45am, return to Wilmslow between 5.00 and 6.00pm.

Estelle Goodwin, who founded KIN, said "Crossing Morecombe Bay without a Guide is not recommended and this is a great opportunity to experience the Bay and raise funds for KIN.

"This is KIN's main fundraiser for 2012 and please support if you can!"

For further information and a registration form visit the KIN website.
