Police are investigating after reports of three men seen looking at a vehicle on a driveway on the Lakes Estate in Handforth just after 8pm on Wednesday, July 9th.
When challenged by the owners they could not give an explanation for what they were doing and left in a silver Mercedes 4x4.
PCSO Gareth Harding said "We have a part a partial VRM for the vehicle & enquiries will be ongoing.
"Please report any suspicious activity to us via 101 or online.
